Hello.

I was vaccuming my 2016 Picanto two days ago and closed the bootlid, only some hours later when visiting Tesco it turned out the bootlid was jammed and I was therefore unable to open it!

It is booked in my local garage for next week when they will have to remove the boot panel in order to get to the lock, but is there any way it can still be opened without this hassle?

This is the first time it has happened in nearly nine years of owning this car!

Thanks

Looking at that would suggest it’s simple enough to get in there and open it. Once that’s done you’ll likely have to replace the mechanism (if it is indeed faulty), or perhaps grease it
