Hi,

I’ve had a Kickr climb for the last year and a 1/2, all worked well. Not been on the trainer for a month, plugged it all in the other days and am greeted by a strained motor sound whenever it tries to tilt me up a hill (and no movement of the bike).

I took the bike off and used the buttons and the Climb will move the bits up the sides, but it’s quite slow and noisy.

Reckon it’s Kickr’d the bucket?

Does anyone have any experience of failures on Wahoo gear and are they helpful? It’s a weighty old thing, so I imagine sending it back could be interesting

Just tried it again with no bike connected, and I just hear a "click click" noise. :(

Cant speak for Wahoo but Garmin replaced my entire smart bike under warranty. Bloke came to the house with a new one, unboxed it and put it together. Took the old one apart and boxed it up in the box the new one came in then wheeled it out on a trolley so I wouldn't worry about having to send it back.

If they don't want it back then sell I guess. Not sure if there's much of a market for broken Kickr climbs though :D

Wahoo customer service have always been good to be, i brought a reconditioned kicker core and after 6 months was making a weird noise and the erg mode wasn't working properly and they replaced it with another refurb. That one lasted a year and developed a different fault and they the replaced it with a brand new one that wasn't a refurb and its been solid for the last 6 months.

Both times they sent me a replacement next day and the collected the old one the following day.
