I think they were pushing it a bit asking for £300,000 to be honest, especially when Godus, which is being made by a very high profile industry figure, was barely on track itself... in the end it didn't get much more than their asking amount of £450,000 (and they're arguably the same genre of game with the same target audience).
That said, I sincerely hope this sees the light of day (I'm sure it will) as it looks fantastic! I'll definitely be backing it again if it reappears with a lower goal.

Oh also, I hope this demo boosts it a lot! It's pretty rare to see something like this in a game Kickstarter
It's because it's doing so poorly.
I can't see the demo getting the funding.

Backed - although I'm not sure it will make it.
Whilst the demo is fairly basic, even at prototype stage it looks better than some games I've seen released(!)

New update showing off ipad, tablets are its natural home IMO. It's a relaxed game, who wants to be chained to a desk for that. Also showing of multiplayer coop mode.

, I wonder what they'll do,mas so much work has already gone into it.It does seem to work quite well on tablet! I'm not sure I'd go as far as saying it's better suited to tablet than PC, as mouse and keyboard always seems to come out on top when it comes to FPS or RTS game controls.
The multiplayer options I'm hoping will sway people on the fence, as they didn't mention much in the way of multiplayer before. Competitive multiplayer in this sort of game would be brilliant I don't often play co-op in RTS/God games, though I guess all of the various Warcraft III mods proved that it can be fun too if the game mode is right.

IT seems very...Pikmin-y from the trailer!
Just backed this via www.deathincgame.com, I quite enjoyed the alpha, didn't finish it, I had to go out, but will be having another go later.
A bit late I know, but anyone else disappointed that this isn't happening anymore?
I played through the alpha a couple of times and was looking forward to playing a new level, then received an email saying my payment had been refunded
