Just wondered due to all the cool/interesting kickstarter projects ongoing that a lot of people here have backed whether its worthwhile having a kickstarter thread?

OR ask Captain Rave to add to his games list sticky?

Just wondering :)

i can add a few to the list myself

Hero-U
Legends of Eisenwald
Elite: Dangerous
Camelot Unchained
Torment: Tides of Numenera

ohh ok. i tend to forget them if they are not all in the one place and they end up multiple pages down on the forum(long development) BUT i see your point!

I think it's better just having a thread for each game, will get confusing discussing multiple games in one thread!

I agree. I can see the whole idea of merging things together but personally I don't have an interest in *all* kickstarters and I tend to only be bothered when I find something that is of particular interest to me posted on a news site or forum :)

Different threads. Your OP is an example why. Listing a bunch of random game names means nothing. You need pics, explanations, etc before people would be interested in it. Your list of games means nothing to me as I've never heard of them.

Yeah I'm sick of all the kickstarter begging threads, "wah we wanna make a rehash of a classic but no one in the gaming industry will back us so we're gonna ride the nostalgia train on a load of Internet geeks for money" or "our idea is so rubbish no publishers wanted it but you guys will cough up"

Just wait until elite turns out to be total gash or never arrives, or the piece of turd lord British is making that looks awful and is just using his fame to get backed

Whilst i wouldn't quite put it that way, I do agree to some regard, that with the PC gaming community starved of any real innovation or attention, any hair brained idea could float on kickstarter these days. And it will only take a spectacular fail of on the bigger projects to call into question the whole idea.

It is still a brilliant way to go about creating a game though, but the PC gaming community needs to calm down with regards to some of the bigger projects. Hopefully once the big ($2-3 million) projects are delivered on time and including everything promised, we can collectively calm down abit...

Well i wasnt suggesting just a list with nothing else.... just have them in the one thread. I also wasnt suggesting what Shamikebab assumed either ie have the DISCUSSION of them all in the one thread... because that would be extremely messy.

I was suggesting a thread with sticky links to each kickstarter thread here . You click on the link and it takes you to the specific thread.

This is why i added in my original post...it could quite easily be added to Captain Rave's sticky....after all some kickstarters have already been added. (Elite Dangerous)

I haven't done it myself because other pc folk are more active.

What about 1 thread while they're on Kick Starter, and if they get funded then make a separate thread after?
