If anyone was a kid in the 80s then you watched kids tv programmes. One of them was about this Scottish Grandmother who had super powers, Supergran.

Sadly news is coming out today that Gudrun Ure as passed away at 98 years old.

I think considering she was only 59 when she started playing the role I think there should have been more series.

Only recently, I've been listening to the theme tune to the TV programme (by Billy Connolly).

She reached an amazing age, proving that she really was a 'super gran'. :)

Great show, RIP.
 
Always watched it as a kid as it was filmed round our way. Similar to others , thought or assumed she was in her 70s in the show so would have passed long ago but I suppose everyone looks old when you are a kid. 59 year olds are great grans these days in the North East :D

not 2 weeks ago i played the theme tune in the office as only a couple of the older staff had ever heard of Supergran - think i loved the theme tune more than the show! genuinely thought she'd died some years ago but making it to 98, well played Supergran and RIP
