Kill it with fire?

Half asleep and headed to bed I spotted this in a window sill also half asleep. To save myself getting into bother I thought I'd put a jug over it and deal with the problem in the morning when I'm a little more alert.

Isn't it a little early in the year for this kind of annoyance? It isn't exactly a small specimen either.

But you still managed to take a shot of it, post it to Imgur, link it and create a thread about it here.

Let the poor thing out the window and stop attention-whoring.

Imgur won't try and sting me thankfully. But fine let me go and drop it outside. Can't imagine it'll try and fly away but hopefully it'll relinquish its grip from the jug.
