We'd need to spend a hell of a lot on new prisons though. I'd like to see some figures actually, i wonder what the prison population would have been over the last 10 years if we had a 3 strike rule.

I think the offences would need to be graded to make this realistic though.

I recall a guy in the US who was a petty thief, on his third strike he stole a packet of cigarettes and was given life with no parole.

He appealed and a higher court quashed the sentence.

I doubt it, I'm fairly sure that killing someone in the course of a robbery is always murder.

If we aren't killed by cars not seeing us/giving us enough space we now run the risk of ****** killing us for our pride and joy.

Can't even lock your bike up in public without the damn thing getting nicked
