Well as you can see from my thread tittle I killed my CPU trying to get it past 3.0Ghz. 
It was Venice 3000+ with the LBBLE stepping and had managed to get it to 2.7Ghz Prime stable for 24hrs and was FEAR / BF2 stable @ 2.9Ghz but not Prime stable.
Tried to push it to 3 Ghz, got it there booted to windows and started BF2, ran for about 3 mins then my PC just turned off. ****
Many a foul word was said, then I drowned my sorrows in several pints of lager.
SO!
I need a replacent, I've got a buget of around £150- £200 ish, looking on ebay theres a few decent chips around but not sure what to get?
Dual Core? 146? 144? FX 60?
I wanna hit 3Ghz ish with my next chip.
All thoughts appriciated.
