I managed to whack my Acer Predator X34P with a desk fan and knackered the screen so need to replace it. Unfortunately I can't afford to straight up replace it like for like so depending on the contents insurance I will have £600 to £800 to spend.

There's so many monitors around at the moment I'm honestly not sure whats best at each end of those price points, does anyone have any recommendations? I'd prefer an UW if possible.

I mostly use it for work or playing WoW, driven by a 1080ti.

Many thanks.

Ouch

You can get refurbed X34Ps within that price range. Otherwise it'll be hard to come by another IPS 34" Ultrawide with GSync. Next best I think is the Acer Predator Z35 at about £700, though it's a VA. After that there's the Samsung C34J791 at about £600 (though prices have varied wildly between £450 and £700 depending on sales). You'd also have to take a punt with GSync over FreeSync, and again it's a VA.

Thanks for the suggestions, trying to decide if I can live without ultra-wide and get a standard larger monitor. Think I may miss the immersiveness though!

I forgot the AOC Agon AG352UCG6 35" (can be had for ~£650-£750). 120 hz + GSync, but again it's a VA. There's several options within budget as long as you're willing to give up IPS it seems. Can't say I blame you for looking at going back to 16:9 monitors though given the circumstances.

If all you did was damage the screen could you not source another panel and replace it? Even if it costs £400 for the panel it's cheaper than buying a whole unit.
