The great and good of the Overclockers community your help is requested for the following issue that is driving me and my family up the bloody wall.
Killer N1525 issues when downloading large files. If i download for example a game from Steam my whole internet drops out the download will continue but all other users in my house are disconnected from the internet and I also am unable to use internet browsers on the laptop whilst download is in progress. It is as if it only allows that download and nothing else. Also at some stage the internet will drop completely and my BT router will restart. I have googled this issue a lot and none of the fixes suggested seem to work. I have even downloaded the latest drivers from the Killer website. Needless to say the other members of the O'Brien household hate me when i try to download anything.
Please please help before my wife kills me as she can't use facebook when I am downloading a new game or film :)

There used to be a problem with BT a long time ago where downloading from steam would knock everything else out regardless of brand of NIC (or router), surely that can't be rearing its head again :S

I'd honestly consider replacing it with another network card through those Killer NICs seem nothing but trouble even if it doesn't solve that issue.

Its in a MSI GT72 2QE (Dominator Pro)-1632UK Gaming Laptop.
Connecting to BT HOME HUB 5.
Using Wireless.
As much as I want to, throwing a 1600 quid laptop in the river makes me pull back from such drastic measures...for the time being anyway

Doh didn't realise it was a laptop - have you tried steam on another system to narrow down whether its related to a specific system?

Its not just steam, have the same issue with Origin, UPlay etc. Not sure i feel comfortable with replacing a wirless card in a laptop. Posted this issue in the support section so maybe Overclockers themselves can assist with this.

Works fine on my other gaming laptop, no disconnects and others can use the internet and i can browse whilst the download is in progress
