Gamers Nexus just scrapped their MSI sponsorship to discuss their ethics. It's a fascinating video. It also baffles me how unprofessional the MSI PR person is in their emails and texts; "I feel like..." "Awww". At the very least that person needs retraining.

Reading the comments, it's full of smaller tech channels describing their similar experiences with a whole host of companies in the tech world. I hope more larger reviewers come out with their experiences.

It was a good insight to see the communication between companies and tech reviewers. Ultimately I guess they are going to ask him to remove something from this video as well!

Isn't there an MSI guy on these forums?

In their defence, my MSI motherboard is heading towards 10 years old and still going strong.

^^^ true that - no doubt they make good products - the X570 and B550 tomahawk are highly regarded for vrms and so on.

I think what you'll find is, MSI have been singled out, but probably (probably) it isn't any different to the others, and well, just what the real world is like across the board.

You think every other big company/government/whatever acts within 100%of being "ethical" at all times, not saying it's right and things can't improve/change but......

Msi do make good boards, but they had to make some changes after some criticism from reviews.

That's the whole.faking point of a review. To find possible flaws and good company takes it on board and improve upon it

Tech Jezus said himself: if they reach engineers they do make changes and, engineers mostly aware if the issues with products, etc.
It's the PR ppl that cause most of the drama.
Becoz u know they are media trained.

It's more than that though. It's an ongoing pattern of threatening/bribing (ie corrupt) behaviour that GN has been seeing from MSI for at least the last four or five years, leading them to conclude it's company policy, rather than one or two bad apples in the marketing department.

Disagree with that. The point of a review is to be a consumer advice piece.

Blatant flaws should never make it to retail. "Review sample" products are usually the same as what makes it to retail, if they weren't then that renders the review useless to consumers.
