At a guess, I would say Jesus. It has previously been hypothesised that certain Virgin routers are the cause of Slow PSN downloads.

edit: Speed is slowing down 83% 1GB mark

Used to be on 20mbit virgin, PSN store hates virgin, used to get around 1mbit.

On a 10mbit bebroadband connection and it's maxed out.
