I know it's pretty small.

It's been confirmed as real by a person who works for Guerilla Games.

Description: The video game media salivated over the Hollywood-blockbuster-like video clip of this game at the 2005 E3, and Sony has been mum about details. Now it's hoping this futuristic first-person shooter will propel sales of PlayStation 3.

The action takes you and your squad of commanders to the planet Helghan to defeat the mutated human Helghast race, but it's not just straight-ahead combat.

"The Helghast are able to harness the raw power of the weather against you," Sony's Ron Eagle says. "It makes for some unique game play."

Designed to show off the PlayStation 3's capabilities, the game "will be a hardware mover," he says.

Killzone 2 also will be playable online on the PlayStation Network.

Yup guys, it is real. It is a little bit early, but it is 100% in-game.

I'm going to find every flaw in that picture and email my list to Phil Harrison.

They do it's early though, so hopefully the shadows aren't made of lego in the final game.

For such a small screenshot i would say it shows a lot of promise, better than a lot of fps games on the horizon *cough..halo 3..cough*

I don't know how to take this.Does he think that we should be impressed by it or the fact that the other KZ2 footage was CGI?

ROFL you're kidding right? That screenshot looks awful given the hype we got last year and the so called in game movie

The textures on the walls look really low res especially the far left wall. The shadows look like something out of a mega drive game

And the enemy looks like he shouldnt even be there like hes been chopped on top.

It doesnt look terrible (other than the shadows) but I certainly wouldnt be going on about "Yep thats in game guys, 100%" I'd be more like "Yep, thats in game, but we have a lot of work to do, I hope"

Screenshots mean nothing in my opinion nowadays, its all about the animations and movement which so far as i can tell you cant see from screenshots!

Looking forward to some videos to really have an opinion about it!

Its seem a bit dark, are they trying to hid some thing?

Doesnt matter any way untill we see it in motion, and we will see what they game really looks like.

Well considering we still haven't seen an SP in game shot (no that one of masterchief in a part of FMV does not count) nobody knows.

I think it is interesting, would be nice with a hi res one. We will get a lot more soon though, is it today or wednesday the day of the 2 and a half hour Killzone presentation?

I lolled at that, the textures on the wall adjacent to the one facing him are awful too, especially on top of the brick work.

I prefer to jusge by looking at these things in motion,

The static shot has a lot of good and bad about it. here is a larger version,

Bad..
The shadow's look terrible, the model looks low rent (look at the cuff section of his jacket). The lighting makes the jacket look terribly 'flat', the hoses from the breathing apparatus looks too flat as well.. The closest wall textures are low res..

Good.
The lighting of the trousers looks good, the eyes glowing looks good..
