Don't see it happening myself. Although he is a good driver, I think he has lost his mojo and would still be asking huge sums of money. I was reading F1 Racing that arrived this morning and the 'price per lap' for each driver was listed. Kimi cost £30k per lap! Compared to poor Barrichello who was £600 :p

So will he come back to F1?

ha 30k per lap

ide crawl backwards on drawing pins as fast as a f1 car for a quarter of that :p

na i dont think we wont see him back till 2012, get anticipation going a bit

I think a lot depends on how well red bull do this year. If they do well they may convince Vettel his future is there. If they make mistakes Vettel could be off and Red Bull may pay Kimis wages.

Then again he could take webbers place.

On his day a pumped up Kimi could beat anyone for pace, sadly those days are long gone. If the cars great and works out of the box on race day kimi is supreme, if it takes set up, he's lost.

His form over the last 3 years has me not really caring if I see him in f1 again.

He will be back in F1.

He will be in a Red Bull.

Feel free to quote me in 12 months as either completely wrong or completely wright, but as we have learnt, as soon as something becomes a rumor in F1, it nearly always ends up happening at some point.

I think the corporate-ness of the McLaren and Ferrari team were to sterile for him. Red Bull are a lot more down to earth and he will likely be himself more and chill out. Could you ever see Ferrari throwing the type of parties Red Bull have?

I think he may well come back and go to redbull because I think Vettel will leave to merc.

See a few months ago I would agree with that, but I reckon over the next 1/2 years Red Bull are a far better option. Why go to Mercedes alongside Schumacher in a team being re-built when you are already at a team that after many years building seems to be about there.

Interesting one, I think Vettels potential is vastly over rated but I'd still prefer him these days over Kimi.

MW is going to be the only loser in this rumour if/when it happens

I cant see Vettel going anywhere - and no reason at all why he should (clutching at straws slightly, but it may slightly hinge on Renault and how they perform this year given all the failures last season)

Kimi would suit RB down to the ground, but over the whole season I would still bet on MW outscoring Kimi in the same car (and Vettel at least being equal if not better)

On his day Kimi is incredibly good but so few times he gets his *** in gear, that a lot of races pass him by. At least with Mark it certainly seems from outside you get 100% every race

I just hope that Vettel irons out the stupid mistakes he made a few times last season (like tussling/crashing in Melbourne instead of collecting some solid points)

Kimi would suit RB down to the ground,

See Red bull would suit kimi down to the ground, the kimi who wants to dine off a world championship and get ****ed at parties. The kimi that wants to be a fast racing driver needs a mclaren. A team that can set the car up for him.

I hope a year away brings back the hunger.
