Been thinking about something: I may buy a basic aluminium box from a well known high street electronics retailer. But what I'd like to put in it would be better suited to sitting vertically rather than horizontally (think of a two inch thick box around the size of an A4 sheet).

Is it possible to buy some kind of feet to make it sit vertically and still be stable?
 
Probably not, you would have to make some type of rig I would imagine to hold it upright.

A frame style ad the back, 3 feet tripod style would probably be the best option.
 
you can get such things can't you? i'm sure of it "pc stand" from the sam place as the alu box i suspect - although it probably wouldn't go small enough, thats the kind of idea.

Would probably need to make something yourself, would be pretty easy though, i think
