does anyone have a problem here that when you condition your hair, you get a spotty back? well, i apparently do...and i dont know what to do about it. i wash my back in't shower but it doesnt appear to help. has anyone got any recommendations for soaps/whatever that i can use to spot-free my back?

1. no i'm not posting pictures
2. there is a time for "funny" or "sarcastic" remarks. this is not that time.
3. i will definitely not be killing it with fire.

thanks in advance :)

i assume it's the conditioner because i never used to condition my hair, and my back was fine. now i do, it's not.

Have you tried using a different conditioner?

yeah, i've used a few - they all seem to do it.

i have the same problem. I find either using a milder conditioner which is fragrance free or not conditioning every time you wash your hair helps.

i only wash it 2 or 3 times a week anyway and i have to condition it every time because it goes crazy if i dont :( does that "Simple" brand do conditioner?

stupid question, but do you used lynx body wash? Because that has been reported to cause those problems

nope

Wash your hair by hanging your head over the bath or the sink, therefore not letting any water or conditioner run down your back. Otherwise, change conditioner or stop using it at all, it's hardly necessary.

it really is necessary for me. i seem to be lucky enough to have really dry hair and oily skin  so when i wash my hair it goes like straw...bah, tis difficult giving a crap about this sort of thing - wish i didnt! :(

Buy a loafa, long enough to rub your back with.

Rinse well, while rubbing your back with the loafa.

Works for me, anyway.

i was thinking about doing that anyway...means going to the body shop or something, though ;)

Getting a spotty back when conditioning your hair is your bodies way of trying to fight the gayness & still look rough & unattractive from behind, the mind wants it but the body doesn't.

hehe. so i lied, apparently sarcasm is wanted! :p

Try Boots botnics range they are very gentle i have stupid dry skin and hair and when i use it my scalp doesn't peel off. It's also pretty cheap.

i'll have a looksee what they've got.

I remember reading a post by someone on here who is known for their metro-ness saying that even he doesn't use conditioner.

So I'm confused, man or not-man?

K.

the problem with this "renowned" member is that he's not actually metro at all...the only evidence for his metro-ness is a pink tshirt. that's not even scratching the surface. you havent thought about cremes, lotions, curlers, straighteners, facial wash, waxing, shaving, facials (the non-pr0n kind) and all that jazz...so he's really not that metro at all :p

Get a witch stick.

i thought about something like that...dont they do a scrub as well? might get one of them back scrubbers and some tea tree/witch body scrub. of course, then i'll have to sing really loud in the shower and grow a moustache

Cover your back in hamster food, dunk jaypeg in witch hazel and let the animal do the work! :D

Unless you mean you have really long hair and *that* gives you spots when you condition it - I'd just cut it off tbh.

down to the top of my shoulder blades, but i tie it up til it's dry. cutting the hair is not an option :/

What wrong with the snip?

i'm quite sure that answering this question would incriminate me to a degree that i'm not comfortable with. having said that, i think my hair's reaching its desired length now...it might be time to start getting it cut regularly.

never thought i'd say that!

ginger enough not to tan. but i also hate tans. i might do that, though because you're right - if i go in the sun i always have clear skin. cheers for that :)

They're all ginger with spotty backs.

haha...cant decide whether you're being funny or rude. so you're funny on a trial basis :p

Cheltenham girls are pretty easy, in my experience. but then i've not had as much experience as Freefaller ;)

i'll give that tea tree stuff a go. sounds like my best bet. thanks for the advice (as always) :)
