Kinect what's it like now.

There still aren't enough AAA titles for it, but there are more in the horizon and stuff like Child of Eden is a great showcase for it.

I still rate it above the Wii and Move for motion-based control.

i had a go on my sisters other day, i was exhausted, brilliant device, although I would get tired after half hour or so, cant remember what game i was playing, something with a raft on water you have to jump and steer etc and it had loads of other games on it as well.

I was sweating afterwards.

I also still rate it above Move/Wii, but it is a bit stale at the moment..

I'll be getting Kinect Sports 2 and by the looks of it Disneyland Adventures..

I'm even toying with getting a second one for the study, there is just enough room to allow voice/hand control of some games (should be OK for FM4 etc)..

Fruit Ninja.

That is all! :D

NEED to download that!! Xbox hasn't been fired up for months though, all that will change at the end of the month and Gears 3 though

As for the Kinnect apart from Fruit Ninja it's going through a bit of a lull after the initial wave. Like the Wii it's only ever going to be one of those things you put on when you've got friends round and you want to play Sports imo

I really dont think it will get any better- after all, there are only so many physical movements people can do in their living rooms which are of any use in a game- I felt after a while it was just fancy arm and leg waving....the new star wars looks really poor and other game devs are just sticking it in like fable.

The only half decent implementation I can see is the head movement for forza 4 but thats just not enough!

Have all three - Wii, Move and Kinect - and they are all the same in the end. Gimmicks with an initial wow factor, but very few decent games making use of them and they now sit unused for the most part. Should know better, but I'm a sucker for new tech.

That said, the consoles themselves are mostly unused - PC gaming back on the rise.

Its biggest problem is the gargantuan amount of space it requires to operate properly. I can't fathom anyone having that much availble space to hand, without moving around large quantities of furniture. Great for the 1st few days. But after that, i reckon you'll look at your Kinect, look at your sofa / coffee table, bed / walls etc and say nah, can't be bothered to move that to jump up and down like a buffoon.

I had one and a large playing space. Far larger than what is availble to most UK homes. During its calibration, it kept telling to go back, go back, i ended up saying the hell with this. Sold it after a couple of months.

This too doesn't help. Maybe that Nyko thing will help, when it's finally released, but at the moment, playing two players simultaneously is either impossible or risks bodily damage. Fruit Ninja Kinect is definitely not always virtual when we play it :)
