I LOVE the aesthetics of the monsters/knights of this game so much, although I'm not personally a fan of the scantily clad ladies (Except where appropriate, such as the experiment of death etc). Not that I'm a puritan or anything, but it just feels forced and excessive that every single female character dresses in the tightest bikini ever, while males have nice big armor/robes/whatever.

If the game gets good reviews I might pick up a copy once it's widely available though, who knows. I'm just sick of female characters with the defining trait of... being female. It gets old real fast.

Yeah I don't like the pinup ones, luckily it's kept fairly separate from the good stuff. There's a few nice female models too, most of the non pinup range is ok.

The whole aesthetic of the game feels really Berserk inspired to me, which is yet another reason to love it. And I love that "stone faces" base... I must have it... Loved those kind of things ever since the loadscreen of Doom 2, deliciously creepy.

This is a game where a decapitated naked woman is used as a bookstand. It's frequently referred to as "Kingdom Rape" because its treatment of women is about one step away from Gor, and it may not be a step up. Unless you approve of hideous misogyny, do not support this game or its makers.

Awesome :/ I had a quick check out of their site and it's rather cringe-worthy.

Nice reference to Gor though :p What an awful series of books and films. Seems rather appropriate :)

Zzzz...

The actual decapitated and raped women are not really the problem - they actually make sense from a setting perspective and are quite cool to be honest. It's a game, a fantasy - that means you're allowed to depict rather gruesome worlds and scenarios too.

However, it is boring when women are defined mainly only as women rather than characters. Sure, depict the occasional sexy female, the occasional rape victim, but please, keep things varied and don't let your characters just fall into a set role, be they men or women.

Gor ;) read them all when I was younger and still got a few on my bookshelf
.. Wonder if that's why I'm a chauvinist now ?

Love most of the models personally ..
