Can the above (American version) play on a Uk Console (PS2) Need 2 know this for my daughter. Thanks.

Very much doubt it unless you have one of those region changer things. Also, their TV format it NTSC...does her TV support that?

Lots of portables support NTSC.

Does the remote have an AV button ? Is there a scart socket in the back of the TV ?

If yes and yes, it'll do NTSC.... 99.99% I recon.

The TV probably will work (though it depends on the age, having a SCART doesn't necessarily mean anything) - but PS2 games are region protected. The game will refuse to run, unless you've modified your console in some way.
