i've only seen the Theatrical version but bought the Director's cut not long ago which i have been meaning to watch it. the DC is supposed to be MUCH better from everyone who's seen both.
I enjoyed the directors cut on blu ray,the film has been criticised for being historically inaccurate but I'm no history buff so this didn't worry me,the cinematography is beautiful and really comes into it's own in HD,there is plenty of well choreographed battlefield action backed up by a bombastic score that will give a surround system a good workout,LFE is especially prominent in parts.
Good acting performances as well,I wasn't expecting too much from Orlando Bloom in the lead role but I was pleasantly suprised how good he was,Edward Norton as the king was excellent as was Liam Neeson in his part, not sure who played Saladdin but he was very convincing! Also look out for Philip Glenister(Ashes to Ashes) in a brief role,Eva Green as Sybilla is great too and totally gorgeous to look at!
Not Ridley Scotts best movie but still a very entertaining watch imo,be aware though that'll you'll need a comfy seat for the directors cut as the run time is 189 minutes!
