
It is worrying though, I don't disagree. A lot of that price rise has been due to AMD being uncompetitive with performance. NVIDIA had the TITAN out for almost a whole year unchallenged. 780 had a good run too before the 290's started emerging. AMD need to get faster with their counters, and we'll see better pricing.
The rather substantial drop on the 780's that happened when the 290's came out is a fine example of NVIDIA's 'premium'.
Although it should be said, basing pricing on the extreme luxury version of the 780 Ti (which this Kingpin is), is not the best of benchmarks. This is only for record breaking.
