Man, what made them do that? That sounds like a perfect card. I am going to guess Nvidia Greenlight again, after what happened with the 780 Lightning.

ball ache. Must be a nightmare with all the condensation. He's got more patience than me :D

Just read on Videocardz that the Titan Black is 'confirmed'. 6GB 780Ti essentially but with higher double precision computing so not to tread so much on Ti owners.

yeah but water the icy of the dimms then melts into the slots also. Good CPU you don't want dead!!

Mate, chillers is one thing but LN2 is pure madness. I need a new man cave. I can just imagine the kiddo coming into the house looking like Mr Freeze. I'm not even allowed a new chainsaw :D

Both of mine should be coming in on Friday as long as the delivery man bothers to come find me for signature confirmation :D

There is a KPE owner's thread on OC.net that anyone here is welcome to join, btw.

If there is enough people to have a KPE owner's thread I don't think these cards are as exclusive as EVGA would have us believe.

All the KPE edition really is, is the new Classified

So where does that leave people who bought the normal Classified ?

Well I think there were ~75 cards each on North American and European EVGA websites and then some more in the UK- that's it in the initial run. Depending on how many people are then interested, their Build-to-Order program will satisfy individual orders for a limited time.

But yes- I agree that this card should have been the regular classified all along and hopefully EVGA handles things differently in the future. At least both classifieds now have voltage support upto 1.5 V using the software tool and even higher using the EVBot so that's something.

I don't have a problem with the KPE but I don't think much of EVGA's marketing and greed. There was a time when the Classified was considered the best of the best but in one silly marketing move EVGA have just trashed the brand.

EVGA have at least 7 different versions of the 780ti available, I think this is way more than is needed and I feel sorry for someone buying the basic 780ti from EVGA if they are binning their GK110 chips for the higher models.

I think EVGA should have one top of the range model and one possibly two lower end models rather than all versions they have now. It seems to me they are milking their customers for every penny they can get.

@vsg28

More important than all the above we need to know how well the KPE goes on the Heaven 4 bench, is there any chance of you posting some scores.:D

Of course, I am just waiting for a US retailer to get the EK blocks in stock. So hopefully next week is when I will have everything ready myself. In the meantime, I will post numbers and benchmarks from other owners here.

EVGA also pretty much just now released their 780 Ti Classified Hydrocopper extending their 780 Ti family further. The reference 780 Ti will also have a Hydrocopper version to round out the family: http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=03G-P4-2889-KR

Hi All,

the KP card is very limited, there are less then 100 Units for whole Europe and it is not meant to replace the "normal" Classified.
The KP card is meant to get overclocked hardcore with LN2, Dry Ice, Facechange...
Of course you can also run it on air or water but the advantage compared to the Classi is not that big with normal cooling.
You can also still have Ref cards with good chips on it, there are ref cards that do run without voltage tweak 1250 out of the box so it do not mean you will get a "bad" GPU if you buy a normal Ti.
