So i've got a 1gb stick of Kingston ddr2-800 valueram which has become defective giving me a long beep code when booting up or trying to boot up PC with that particular stick installed in the computer. When you look at the memory you can just see that one of the chips which the label covers is black and it looks like it has popped or that effect (not sure if memory chips can pop?)

Now i Kingston have lifetime warranty and i have emailed them before friday without response so far.

I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with Kingston RMA/tech support in the uk and what would be the best procedure to try and and get something done done with this stick of memory if of course i can do anything as normally i'd email OCUK or wherever i got it from but since its not from my comp and i didn't buy it that is out the question.

Cheers
