Kingston HperX PnP - Only for Intel?

Looking at this memory.

Is it for Intel only?

The blurb on the Kingston site suggests it is as does the listing on OCUK.

But I can't imagine why that would be the case.

Can anyone clarify please.

Interested because it has a lot of options in SPD so was hoping that an AMD AM3+ system would pick up 1600MHz without any faffing about with settings.

I used it in my old AMD system fine 955BE

Though i do recall having to tinker a little, ill try and find the thread on here as i got help with it from someone from this board.
