kingston hyperbeast ram advice.

hi there im looking at ram for my new system and was looking at getting the Kingston hyper beast 1866mhz 8gb now first off 8gb will be fine for now as all I do I gaming do I go for 1 8gb stick or will I benefit from dual channel 2x4gb? secondly was doing abit of research online and I read that for ram speed I wont really benefit from anything faster than 1866mhz on the z77 chipset currently this build will be on an asus maximus v formula any advice would be much appreciated thanks.

You'll need at least 2 x sticks for most build depending on whether your setup is dual, triple or quad channel memory.

Typically you would buy an appropriate kit which will contain matched dimms.
