Kingston HyperX 6GB (3x2GB) 12800C7 1600MHz Triple Channel 7-7-7-24

That is a good price. Might just get a set or two for future builds at that price.

Just on the timing thing. You can get quite a number of kits with Cas 7 timing and three of four different kits offering Cas 6 at 1600MHz.

I have an interest into them too and I might just get them to upgrade from my 1333MHz Geil Black Dragon (3x2GB) which just happens to have the same latency as these ones which is 7-7-7-24. ^^

Looks like ocuk may have put the wrong description for these modules.

The parts number in the title (KHX1600C7D3K3/6GX) is different from the one in the description (KHX1600C8D3K3/6GX).

Yep, been running a set of 1600 mhz ocz reapers with rated timings of 7-7-7-24 for a year now, i think theres a newer c6 set on the market now though.

Sure are but you will pay for them. :D I saw a Cas6 2000MHz kit (dual channel) the other day. Pricey too of course. But so shiny...

Hi there

This is a genuine CAS 7-7-7-24 kit and of fantastic quality, we just have a good price on these. :)

Just bought a set of these for my new build. Timings were advertised as 7-7-7-24, BIOS reports as 7-7-7-20, Kingston's product page quotes timings as 7-8-7-20, which is correct?

Also according to BIOS speed is 1064mhz (133 X 8) @ 1.5v, I take it it is safe to raise this to the rated speed of 1600mhz (133 X 12) and raise the voltage to 1.65v

Thanks,

Yes it is.

Go have a look using CPU-z what the SPD is and you should see what the sticks actually are.

Plus you could just look at the sticker on the stick too. :)

Thanks for reply, I haven't got as far as installing any software yet, not even the O.S. No timings on the memory stick labels, just c7. Gone with 7-7-7-24 as quoted by Overclockers.

I too thought there was a misprint after seeing these timings for the price stated, however,
i have noticed that no one has mentioned any of their findings from using the memory,

i'm curious to how cool they are stay for long periods of use, if these need an extra fan or not would be very handy info.
the timings and the price alone do make me drule admitedly, but timings without heat management is about as helpful as a chocolate fireguard
