Hi all

I have a I7 ovderclockers bundle fitted with - Kingston HyperX 6GB (3x2GB) Intel XMP DDR3 12800C9 1600MHz Tri-Channel Kit (KHX12800D3K3/6GX)

Well on their site they say the Programmable CAS Latency: 9-9-9-27 @ 1T
Programmable Additive Latency: 0, CL - 2, or CL - 1 clock

Well in my bios it is set to 9-9-9-28 @ 2T ......would this cause issues as i seem to have problems with windows crashing or things stop responding .

I have set the bios to what they state ...which is the same as Kingston's website .....all seems well at moment

Any help most appreciated
Karl

As it's a pre-clocked bundle I suspect they set the 2T for stability purposes - as there is usually a 'small' trade off with some settings/timings when tweaking a large overclock. You will notice no discernable difference between 1T and 2T.

And, as it's an overclocked bundle i would contact OCuk about your other problems as they 'may' be related to the clock and OC’s may have a few quick tweaks up their sleeve to get you running smoothly again. (They build loads of these things so will no doubt know which settings to try first.)

Either: ring them, web note or try the customer service forums - link
