Kingston HyperX - Frequency & Timings

Hi,

I've just installed my new Kingston HyperX 4GB memory. I ran CPU-Z to make sure everything registered OK.

I may be barking up the wrong tree, but should DRAM frequency be as low as 400MHz?

What frequency are you trying to run it at?

If it's only 800Mhz then it's running fine - DDR2 i.e. 2 x 400 = 800MHz.

If you are trying to run it at 1066Mhz then you will have to manually set the timings, voltage and divider in the BIOS - and then the DRAM frequency will read 533.
