Works fine.

Thanks I'll start of at 1.55v and see how it go's from there. Am made up its only the ram. Been reading abit to much into it and was getting people saying it might be cpu or motherboard also could be power supply lol

Memtest is reading things wrong or your system is messed up.

Your Base Clock is shown as 78 MHz when it should be 100MHz and that's why your RAM is running at 1257MHz instead off 1600MHz.

Please post a screenshot of the CPU tab from CPU-Z to confirm.

Done how come one stick works fine? and other dont? I also tested them in same slot. A1

CPU-Z shows your Base Clock is correct.

Perhaps Memtest just shows odd figures.

Maybe you have 1 good stick and 1 faulty one.

As you have new RAM on the way perhaps see how you get on with that.

Yes will do, thanks for your help. You think I should test both sticks together first or do them one at a time over night.
Might also leave this one over night testing see if any error pop up. Come Tuesday I'll rma this corsair ram.

For now just use the one stick which appears good so you can use your PC.

When you get your new RAM test it out.

If it runs fine then you know the Corsair is faulty and you can RMA it.

Yer running just the one stick now, and already notice better performance. I can download a game now without getting errors.
Earlier on it tuck me 6 tries to download serious sam 3 from steam, it just worked first time.

Hopefully you'll have better luck with the Kingston.

When you RMA the Corsair you'll likely need to send back both sticks even if only 1 is faulty.

I have mine at 1.55v without issues.

This - 1.55 seems to be the sweet spot, any lower and I get random crashes. Just added another 8GB of this to upgrade to 16GB and it's great - can run tonnes of VMs simultaneously! :)

New Ram installed :) running at 9,9,9,27 @1.575v Just did one full passes of memtest with both sticks for now and no errors.

I notice windows starts much fast now? would different DDr3 ram really make much difference? Windows used to take about 1 min to completely load up now its less than 30 secs. :D
