I'd have expected a rash of the forum's firearms experts to be here by now, with various pieces of advice and condemnation for the efforts of the would be assassin and his choice of weapon ;) Perhaps they're busy in the Ukraine thread... :)

At least they’re not as bad as the twitterati who are insisting it’s a publicity stunt

To play devil's advocate... Have South American politicians ever thought about the possibility of being less openly corrupt especially when their country is going through an immensely painful recession where favouring their own little corner might create grudges elsewhere?

I know some Argentines. This may not be what it seems - she was being indicted for corruption charges, and there are reports that this may have been a 'fake' assassination attempt in order to get the media off her back and into sympathy mode - and the president has called for a national holiday because of this.

All a bit strange.
