I am about to complete on a new build and there are some very small and niggly issues with the kitchen, I am going to try and get them sorted out by the builder/fitter but I think I may be wasting my breath based on what has happened so far.
What would be the best way of sorting the following issues out

1 - as the kitchen is quite long worktops have had to be joined together, one of the joins is fine, the other isn't quite perfect and bits of the edge of the laminate will come away if not sorted.
Can I use normal black silicone sealant to fill this join in, all I am concerned about here is durability.

2 - Again relating to the length of the kitchen, one of the kick plates is not a great fit and I think this is because it is so long and only has a couple of clips on the back of it, if I push on it in certain places (about the same amount of pressure regular mopping would place on it) the end kind of bows out a little and it no longer sits flush with the other kick plate. So will extra clips hold this in place better or is there an easy way to secure this better ?

3 - the valance around the top of the cupboards has cracked on the corners (I assume the glue wasn't too great) I can glue these and put them back on but the other issue is where they have been cut the laminate has chipped away very slightly on the edge (I assume due to the nature of the finish) which not glaringly obvious I can see it and it does bug me, is there some kind of paint or filler I can use to disguise this ?

4 - The door on the integrated washing machine is ever so slightly out, having never had integrated appliances before I don't know whether this one is normal or not, can these be lined up perfectly ? if so what needs to be done ? (It sits slightly recessed at the bottom of the door)

I am popping down to the house later and will try and get some pics to illustrate what I am talking about :)

1: Yes.

2: Yes.

3: Yes - glue (impact adhesive) and use wood filler to hide the "chips".

4: Yes - they can be lined up perfectly but it can take ages to get right - it wouldn't bother me if it was slightly out.

Thanks for the help guys. That colourfill stuff looks like just what I am looking for.

I have taken some pics of the bits I am describing and will upload them later.

I think having taken the kickplate off I am going to have to fit a couple of extra legs in strategic places to get it fitting securely, there is no leg support near the end, to be fair I think how it has been cut is a little odd, 1 long 1 shortish piece, I would have done 2 x medium and had them meet where there are 2 legs together to make them more secure.

As for the washing machine, I have just been having a fiddle (ooo matron) and it is really odd. If I get the left side lined up then the right side is level at the bottom and recessed at the top, however there are two magnets that have been screwed to the front of the washing machine and the door only touches the bottom one.

Is this a completely new build? If so I think with that list alone and you saying the builders aren't interested I'd be looking into a more detailed snagging search. Sounds like corners have been cut, how many others have they cut? Tell them you're not happy, you're doing them a favour buying their development not the other way around. If you've not completed you can still walk away remember. The whole point is new build is to not have to do these things (well until it all settles in 12 months time).

It does sound quite bad I guess.
Corners have been cut, there is no doubt about that, however they have only been cut on the finishing touches (thankfully) I know the guy I am buying the property from and the way his mind works is different to mine, he just doesn't have attention to detail, so finishing touches to him are not important.

I was stood in the house last night and looking at the place and thinking I am just being picky here the house is fine. (Or maybe you are right and I am just telling myself that)
