So we are in the planning stages of our kitchen extension and refit and are pretty much set on the Altino Graphite units from DIY kitchens, but aren't particularly fond of any of their worktops after seeing them in the showroom.

We want to keep costs down and don't need anything fancy anyway so will probably choose laminate, and being dark grey units we want basically white worktops, but with some kind of subtle pattern or even a bit of sparkle in them to break up the large slab of white.

Any suggestions for places with a good range where we can order samples, or have plenty on display in the South Yorks area?

Thanks.

Thanks for the replies.

Wifey has her heart set on white (ish) and has ruled out any kind of wood effect, but being female there's plenty of time for her to change her mind :D

And although I'd love to go with a granite or quartz worktop it's really out of our extremely tight budget at the moment, once you factor in specialist fitting costs as well. Plan is to go with the relatively cheap laminate option for now that I can fit myself, then maybe change it for something more elaborate in the future.

Both Wren and Howdens generally have a decent amount on display to look at in person.
Thanks. We ran the gauntlet at Wren but nothing floated our boat. I'd thought about Howdens but was under the impression they were trade only. Will look into that.
