KitKat - when did it all go wrong?

I had a KitKat tonight, for the first time in a long time. Probably close to 10 years long.

Anyway, when did they change the wrapper? Sliding your finger(nail) along the foil used to be the second best bit to a KitKat. Now it's just all about the eating of it. How boring

When did the fun go out of KitKat?

I didn't buy it, was given to me. Such a travesty. How did this come about without a (noticeable) public outcry? This is sacrilege!
