Kittens

I found mine didn't like being taken outside or held outside as it couldn't be in control and feel able to run away home if it needed.

Nope you can put them in any door. PVC doors are handy as you can just replace the bottom panel if you are selling up or anything.

Thanks, Good to know that :)

I don't mean take it and stand there, I mean as it take it outside to get used to it and then I will let it go outside on it's own

I might have to steel your Ginger Cat :D

I think I would feel safer knowing that my Cat was inside and not outside, fair enough they're not stupid but I would always worry if it was to go out. I'm only worried because my cousins cat got ran over :( (She's only 7) and I don't want the same thing to happen to me.

I priced up some stuff for it, it came to around £100 which seems expensive but there was a lot of stuff there, just hope now it's the new year I can find one that everyone likes :D

I understand where TheCrow is coming from but I wouldn't feel safe knowing that it's a busy road and my Cat was out there

It was, Cat bed, This Cat post / platform type thing, Felix food (2 for £5) biscuits, Bowls, Cat milk, Toys and some other things :)

Thanks for the tips, What food do you recommend me to purchase? or do you advise to try and purchase what they are already eating?

I think with the toys I will only buy a couple to start with and then buy a new one each month or something for a new change.

I think it will enjoy being inside (I hope) and then being let out now and then for a roam.

Buy nothing until you have chosen one/them. If they are under 8 weeks old you won't be allowed to take them yet anyway so have time to buy whatever they have been eating already.

For the first week or so they kitten is going to be exploring and adjusting to not being around its mother/siblings. Don't stress it out buy giving it different food as well.

The Kitten I was looking at was 12 Weeks, But not sure if we are getting that one, I think when it comes to getting one I will ask the owner what the Kitten has been eating and then purchase it on the way home or beforehand depending on whether I've emailed them or not

For cheap scratching posts / play area keep an eye out in lidil's They were going cheap so we got 3 and screwed them together to give him something to climb as well. The big ones are crazy prices (£80+)

Thanks for the heads up, Didn't think they would sell stuff like that there, will definitely keep my eye's open for any deals going

Agreed or one like maxilives there both soo cute, but then again so are all kittens. :p

:P Really can't wait to get one now, and it's definitely got to be a ginger one aha :P

Its quite hard to find ginger cats, the only one I've found so far is 12 weeks old and from CPL which looks nice, I'm planning on buying all of the stuff over the next few days apart from the food because I don't want to get the wrong food, and I'm going to keep looking, and hopefully a nice ginger kitten will pop up :)

Phoned up a local ish animal shelter to see if they had any Kittens and they have four, 3 tortoise shell and 1 black but it opens on wednesday between 12 - 2 and I'm at college then :/

Update: Went out and got some stuff for the Kitten today :D Got a bed, Kitten litter tray, Bag of litter, Bowls, Few toys and a Collar :)

Thanks for the reply :D

We didn't want to get an expensive covered litter tray to start off with as we wanted to let it know where to do it first and then maybe upgrade to a covered one, the tray will be cleaned at least twice a week.

The Collar we got has a nice jingly bell on it aha so you can hear it when it's coming :D

We were looking at them in the shop but thought we'd have a look on the net to see the prices on there :)

Thanks :D Pictures will be up as soon as we get him / her

Edit: @swanseajack sorry to hear that, the kittens look cool :D apart from the last one's eye looks quite scary aha :p

Anyone got any tips on feeding patterns for Kittens? Because I was in the pet shop today and watching this video that was playing about Kittens and it says that they have small stomach's so you have to feed them around 4 - 6 times a day but in small portions and then reduce it when they get older

Thanks for the info :)

I will probably feed it when I get up (Around 7ish) and then get my Mum to feed it around 10 ish (she works nights and goes to bed around then) then I will feed them when I get home from college and then before I go to bed so between 4 -5 meals it will get :)
