Looking at various (cheap) upgrade options right now. Was thinking of maybe going for an Opteron 146 and overclocking it a chunk (I've heard they do nicely) and was wondering if an Abit KN8 would be up to the job? Would the KN8 Ultra be any better for clocking? If so, what RAM (gonna start with a 1GB kit to start with) would you recommend for my overclocking endeavors? Also, what about a PSU - I've penciled in an Antec 480W Truepower....will this be OK with overclocking and running an X1950Pro video card?
Finally, how will the above compare to my current 2.6GHz P4 Northy clocked to 3.0GHz in gaming?
