My cd 3 for tiger woods 06 has gone bugger up...what the hell do i do now?????????

It's only when you come to install the game that it fails.It's already installed on my laptop and plays ok, so the cd check bit is ok

Dam cheapo nasty ea disc's.Sounds dodgy but I wouldn't have screwed the disc up if I hadn't had to keep inserting it to play......no cd where are you.

Heard that basso is great for sorting scratched disc's so I may try that out.

There is because your suggestion is promoting software piracy. By downloading through bittorrent, as mentioned above, he will also be uploading to other users who (probably) don't own a legitimate copy of the game.

If he was to use another method not involving distributing the product to third parties such as FTP, XDCC or DC, then maybe people wouldn't be so quick to jump down your throat.

To the OP: I find that breathing on a cd and then wiping it clean (away from centre) with a cloth (heh, usually a shirt sleeve!) sometimes makes a cd work again.

That still doesn't make it legal, unless it was being legitimately distributed by EA themselves (which we know they wouldn't do).
