I have an Asus P8P67 Pro revision 3 motherboard which had 2 x 4Gig sticks of corsair CMX4GX32MA1600C9 ram in slots A1 & B1 both blue. This morning I added 2 more sticks of ram which arrived from ocuk today. The board then failed to boot up, on removing the new ram I discovered ocuk had sent me 6gb sticks instead of 4 gig sticks. The new 6gig ram is supported by the board according to the manual. The only way the board will boot up now is with ram in slots A1 and/or B1 whatever ram stick I put in, the board only reads it as being 2gig.
Any ram placed into slots A2 and or B2 result in a failure to boot. I'm not overclocking the cpu or ram, also the heatsink nerest the sata sockets is too hot to touch the only drives I have are 1ssd and 1 cdrw

Are you SURE they are 6GB modules? If so I think their rarity value means you will be able to sell them for more than the cost of a complete new machine.
