Knocking sound when changing gear

Recently I've noticed a knocking sound when I change gears. It sound like it's comming from underneath the car right in the middle. It usually happens when I shift hard and make the car shudder. It's never done this before.

Any ideas?

Engine or gearbox mount has gone most likely. Either that or your exhaust has shifted or come loose, causing it to clash with the box/car when you change

Yep sounds like a perished mount to me. Lets the engine move too much and it knocks on somethign or bottoms the mount out.
