Hi guys,

I'm after a bootable os that I can either run from a cd or memory stick, that will hopefully, in the case of the memory stick anyway, allow me to make change to the system.

I've used knoppix in the past for various applications, but I was just wondering if there were any alternatives? A fully customisable os would be fantastic :D

Cheers,

SW.

Goodness, there are loads of options for this. Just about any decent distro will work from USB. Ubuntu and #!CrunchBang immediately spring to mind. You could also look at Tiny Core Linux.

Slax

The website lets you build what you want on the disc

Tbh, I just use the default one
bledd, as a seasoned slax user, how do you 'one click add-all' when preparing a build?

I was showing a mate last night how good it was but it took me about 20 minutes to add all the extras... then I saw the add them all by a single-click option :D

Cheers!
