Know whats wrong?

Hi guys, recently my 17" HP tft monitor screwed up. Basically if you turn it on it just flashes on and off again, too fast to even change the screen from black, but the on/standby light keeps flashing on and off, tried using different power leads and different VGA leads, still nothing, if you don't know its no biggy as I'm getting a 22" Asus Widescreen LCD monitor soon, but if do have any suggestions they'd be much appreciated as its a good useable monitor, and would save hving to dump it.

As above? Does it show anything at all during the computer's POST sequence?

I only have one desktop in the house, so fraid i haven't tried it on another computer, and I'm afraid I don't even see the POST sequence, only a black screen, with a flickering noise, and flashing on/standby light.

you could try using your monitor as a TV via freeview or any other tuner if you can't try it on anything else. Only prob is you'll have to get yourself an adapter to make it work.
