knowing you chipset drivers?

how do you know what chipset drivers you need to install and keep updated on your shuttle? this may sound silly but i'm not sure what ones i need

Used to be able to go by the model prefix, e.g. SN = nVidia, SD = Intel, SS = SiS, SK = VIA, etc.

Probably best to look at Shuttle site driver download, and then get the newer manufacturer specific drivers, based on what you downloaded from Shuttle.

The manual should also tell you.

Just go to the chipset manufacturer site, and follow the links.

Be careful though, the sound drivers may be separate e.g it's got a Realtek chip, in which case you can get that from the Realtek site.

thanks guys, i will dig out the manual, it used to be straight foward, and the shuttle site have not updated there drivers for 6 months
