Meanwhile the Wall Street Journal has reported that many of the world's biggest technology companies, including Samsung, Apple and Google, have formed a consortium to bid for Kodak's digital imaging patents.

Yay!! More fodder for the patent wars.

Please,can the US government step in and stop these companies,I doubt they can though!!

Not if it ends up like Rambus though. All this fighting by US companies like Apple and Google over mobile patents is starting to get to that level now and it seems more and more like *** for tat. In the case of Rambus,the patent office eventually invalidated some of their top patents.

Kodak is hardy an angel, remember when they tried to sue Sun for $1billion over the flakiest of IP claims and shady purchasing of IP seemingly to profit purely from litigation.

I am less worried about what Kodak did then and what these patents will do now,looking at how the current patents wars are escalating.
