I have Kodi installed on a Fire TV and play back really varies

I watched the HD version of Star Wars EP4 the other day and playback kept buffering every 6 minutes or so. The next day I tried again and playback was fine

I have my Fire and NAS box connected wire to my VM Super Hub 2. Does this offer sufficient enough network performance or is it worth upgrading to a dedicated network hub with better performance?

Any help would be appreciated as the buffering is very frustrating especially as its not constantly the same

I needed to set up a small buffer on my kodi installation when used with my nas drive. I can't much help besides I had to access the file structure and make a file called advancedsettings.XML or something. Buffering seems only to happen now at the start and when I'm skipping ahead. I run openelec on an odroid c1
