Hi people
I have just upgraded to a 4k tv and want to know how to correctly setup my HTPC connected to it and if it will even be compatible.
So before with my old 1080p plasma, my HTPC was set at 1080p output and everything worked fine, but now as the new TV is 3840x2160 should I leave my HTPC as it was and let the tv upscale the image and if so will 4k content via kodi display correctly?
Or should I change the kodi output to 2160p and let kodi upscale all my 1080p media....?
Sorry if this is a noob question.....
....also will an Nvidia 960 gpu output 4k for films and games??

You dont need to set kodi to output at 4k. You shouldn't ever be running the menus at max res, it's stupid and will slow down kodi signifanctly.

Set it to 1080p but enable 'adjust refresh rate' so content will play at the correct resolution when it needs to.

I have Kodi set to 1080p 120Hz and enable 'adjust refresh rate to match content', pressing Info on the TV remote shows 1080p media at 24Hz, 4K media switches to 3840 x 2160 at 30Hz
