We're happy to introduce the new Kolink Core 80+ Range. Available from 300W - 700W, these units all meet 80+ certification as required by the ErP and EU No. 617/2013 regulation. Despite this, the prices are aimed to be a viable alternative to the unbranded product that still exists in the market, offering a safe and reliable base for a entry level - mid range system.

The Core series all come with a black coated chassis, at least 1 x PCI-E (there are 2 on the 600W and 4 on the 700W), automatic fan control and all the protection circuitry that is missing from the unbranded products in the market. The 300W & 400W will be available within the next week or so, and the 500W - 700W in about 10-14 days.

look good. are there any reviews and tests done yet on these, who's the OEM?

Sorry but, more bargain basement rubbish. I suspect these are little better than a generic unbranded psu and I wouldn't put one in a basic system let alone anything half decent which people will end up doing. Not even 80+ Bronze rated and weak 12v rails:-

300w has 240w on the 12v rail.
400w has 276w on the 12v rail.
500w has 396w on the 12v rail.
600w has 480w on the 12v rail.
700w has 576w on the 12v rail.

There are no professional reviews of any Kolink psu's from what I can see which is a warning sign by itself. I suspect one of these going through Jonnyguru's testing would add to the "Death of a gutless wonder" series of reviews.

The sad thing is that people will end up spending £1000+ on pc components, need to cut corners to make the budget work, see they can get a 700w psu for £36 and buy one of these. Then we get people wondering why their pc doesn't work.

What we need is a decent selection of quality 300-500w psu's, especially modular units not cheap rubbish like these. Sometimes we have to overspec when someone wants a psu suggestion because there is nothing available in the lower wattages that is quality and modular. Getting the EVGA Supernova G2 550w in stock would be a good move as well. Never understood why OCUK doesn't sell that model. Most of the most commonly specced 450-650w units are out of stock and have been for a while too.
