Last night when using my PC the power tripped. Upon resetting the power, my PC wont power on.

I've tried using different power supply cables and different power outlets, neither of which have worked.

Normally when connected to power an LED on my GPU illuminates but this is no longer the case.

Is there anything I can do to see if it is the PSU at fault or would it be better to replace the unit? Also is there a chance that other components in my PC could have been affected by this?

Thanks in advance for any advice, I'm currently in med school and use my PC for work and gaming so I'm looking for a budget solution if there is one (as previously mentioned buying a new PSU is an option since it's fairly low cost but I want to make sure this will help first).

IMO buy a better brand PSU and with cheaper brands there is a higher chance it takes other parts with it when it blows.

You will not know for sure until you get another PSU.

Just give your best budget here you can pay for a PSU and someone will give you a few choices.

It's a crap psu. Someone on here put up some pictures of the internals of a KL-400 and it had the cheapest, nastiest internal components you can get. You can try the paperclip test as suggested above but you should buy a better quality psu really. Hopefully it hasn't killed anything else but there are loads of internet posts about Kolink psu's failing and even blowing up on first switch on. With psu's it really is a case of buy cheap, buy twice. The psu should not be skimped on.

Thank you all for your responses. I've done the paperclip test and nothing happened so I'll go ahead and buy a new PSU. Does anyone have any recommendations on a higher quality PSU that isn't too expensive?
