Kolink Observatory IR remote

i just bought this kolink case, everything is just fine, rgb works, i can switch rgb modes from the case, but i cant get the ir remote working.. any suggestions?

Take out the plastic lip between the battery and the remote. Hold the bottom left button for 5 seconds, should sync it.

Yeah a took it off, but for some reason it drains the battery overnight..
