I'm in the process of building a new PC and chose the Kolink Satellite for the case and thought I would share some photos and thoughts of it.

The case costs 26.99 (purchased B grade at 17.99) and can accept ITX and MATX motherboards, MATX must not be larger than 22.6 x 18 cm which seems to be motherboards with no more than 3 PCI-e slots.

When it arrived it comes well packaged and my first thoughts were that it is constructed well which I did not expect. Previously buying cheap cases meant burrs along most edges to be cut on but this case is smooth all around and well finished in a Matt black. Whilst it doesn't rival the brushed aluminum finish of a Lian Li it doesn't disappoint with the front being one large plastic grill for air intake, a good method of creating airflow in a small space.

The top and sides are all one panel held in with 4 thumb screws, upon opening there is a bag with all necessary screws along with rubber anti vibration pads and some cable ties.

The power supply mounts at the front of the case drawing cool air in from the front grill, a good feature rather than using hotter air from near the CPU that a traditional layout uses.

Space for 2 x 2.5" drives are created by use of a mounting bracket on the side of the case. It's easy to install by use of 4 screws for the SSD's on the underside of the drive and the bracket is held in place by 2 screws on the top and bottom. Space for 2 x 3.5" HDD's is created with the same method at the top of the case.

There is space for ITX/ MATX (up to a certain size) and installation is made easy due to there being plenty of space to install and secure the board in place. The size of the case and steering away from the PSU over the CPU design means there is room for a 165mm tall after market cooler. Pictured is a Xigmatek Praeton ld963 with a Noctua low profile fan that just about fit in my Coolermaster Elite 120 case but there will be no problem fitting a larger cooler in this case.

Unfortunately the GPU I ordered has not arrived yet so I am unable to comment on that point at the moment.

The fan at the rear is 120mm and the only thing that lets this case down due to noise. I've positioned it to draw air in for positive air pressure straight to the CPU and ordered a replacement (Cougar Black CFD12).

So far I have only had this computer on to install windows with the CPU (Pentium G3258) staying in the mid 20's, once the rest of the parts arrive I'll be able to get a better idea of airflow, however this is enough to convince me that it is a case that I would recommend to any one building on the MATX platform.

Here is how the build looks with a GTX 750 ti (MSI OC V1), with the size allowance it is a trade off between the PSU or GFX card, if the PSU is deeper than 140mm then a full sized GFX card cannot be used.

I went for a 140mm PSU (BeQuiet system power 8) so that I can later on install passive cooling to the 750 ti with an Accelero S3 which is quite long.

Even though the PSU is not modular and the case is small the cables do not get in the way of airflow.
