EDIT: It says nothing about PS3 specifically, so it is a general patch for both I expect

Konami have confirmed that they are working on a patch to resolve the online lag issues that users are experiencing with PES2008 and expect to make it available to the public by the 19th November.

In an interview with PESForums.com, a Konami spokesperson confirmed:

"We hope to have the patch released within two weeks at the latest, and have set a deadline of Monday 19th November to get this to the public, as we are aware there are a lot of gamers out there that are avoiding a massive part of the game because of the online issues."

Yeah I would imagine its for 360 as well, hopefully it works, wonder if the 19th is the date they want it to be actually ready, bearing in mind patches have to be sent to MS then verified etc which adds on more time, but at least they are attempting to fix it, it's so broken right now I was thinking they might never be able to fix it LOL

I read this yesterday and the only concern was them not saying whether it was 360 or PS3 or both. Unless it's both a good portion of the PES community are gonna be annoyed come 19th.

is it just the online that has problems on the PS3 version?, because when I rented it, it played fine for me, but I couldn't play it online because of the id thing.

Yeah, just online is affected. Although I have only played 1 or 2 offline games so can't guarantee there is no slowdown, but the online definitely has lag etc.

I played a good hours worth of offline when I rented it, 100% NO slowdown during gameplay (intros\replays were silly jerky though)

I have read that the framrate problem only exists for people running it in SD.

played pes2 with a mate on ps2 at the weekend, looks almost the same no slowdown!
