Konami to re-release MGS3, ZOE2 and others

Konami has revealed plans to reissue classic PlayStation 2 titles for retail, according to Eurogamer.

The publisher has already repackaged Suikoden Tactics, Zone Of The Enders: The 2nd Runner, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, with Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4 also in the pipeline.

"They are proper reissues," a spokesperson told the website. "Konami has put them out at budget price because of demand. They are remanufactured. They are ours.

"We've manufactured certain amounts depending on the title, and they're being bought by wholesalers so will likely pop up in independent rather than chain stores."

The budget re-releases are expected to retail between £10 and £20.

I wonder if these will make it to the PS2 games store on PSN? (if there is one coming soon)

Grrrr, i was only yesterday marvelling at my pristine copies of ZOE2 and MGS3 thinking that there must be very few around in such good condition now this happens...

Everyone in the world should have at least tried ZOE2, it's just an epic game.

I sold MGS3 for £39 on ebay last year. Its still worth a pretty penny.

Well i still got a proper copy, that one had a few bits missing out of the booklet, i bought it for £15 a while back so didnt think it was to bad lol. Not checked prices on the bay for them though TBH.

There's about 5000 copies of MGS2 in every trade in shop in the country. It sells for £2

Might just pick up a second hand PS2 for these titles, Aint played any metal gears past MGS Tactical Espionage, I've got it even though I've never owned a PS1 .
